OUR MISSION

Our project is a new product founded through a passion for haircare. Growing up in a family hairdressing business, going back three generations, hair is in the DNA. As a barber, I work day to day with a fair few males. I’m aware how dedicated men are to growing their beards. I understand how insecure a client can be when certain parts of their beard struggles to grow, appearing as patches.

After several consultations, the most common concern, 70% of the time, is the client’s beard. They anxiously mention its growth. They also asking if there is a product to activate growth.

Men’s beards are all different due to colour and texture. They can be defined in all different shapes and tapering. However, if the growth isn’t even it doesn’t matter how it is shaped – they still feel uneasy. This product aims to make them unique through one common grounds.

WHAT MAKES OUR PRODUCT STAND OUT?

Drip Melbourne aims to stimulate growth in the client’s beard through a roller. The roller has 540 titanium needles. They are rolled into the beard and over the skin beneath, stimulating blood flow. The roller also comes along with a serum which is absorbed into the skin by the stimulation of the roller. The serum is packed with natural oils and nutrients, high in proteins. The properties of these ingredients activate blood circulation and growth, and also work as moisturising and antibacterial agents. The softened beard feels irresistible.

A beard provides the face with protection. It works as a natural shield for more delicate parts of the face around the mouth and lips. However, it’s not just for protection! When men grow a beard, they grow it from a sense of gruff manliness. They use their beard for male dominance. The thicker and longer their beard is, the more masculine, brave, vigorous and tough they both feel and appear.

HEY!

LET'S GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER

WHAT INTRIGUES ME?

Being a barber myself, I fell in love with the industry and men’s care when I started my apprenticeship. Getting up for work every morning wasn’t just about getting into the salon and cutting my clients’ hair. Once I left the salon my day wasn’t done. I didn’t shut off desire for the creative world of hair care. I have always been so intrigued with the art. I always look for new ways to better my craft.

Beard shaping is art.

In my everyday life I admire all different types of men’s hairstyles, colour, and my personal favourite, beard shaping. I love to see how the art changes with diverse influences, and how certain trends travel from countries well known for their high fashion.

From the European streets to the Aussie suburbs. I love finding new looks to bring into my salon and showcase on my clients – I am exceptionally aware of how important it is for men to have their “own unique look.” If they are going to stand out to a lady among several other men, they need something intriguing, something that separates them from the rest.

My aim is to have distinct relationships with each individual client. Getting to know my clients and their insecurities motivated and intrigued me to find a way to assist them. Help them reduce their insecurities makes my job that bit more satisfying.

GROWING A BEARD IS A PROCESS

Growing a beard doesn’t happen overnight. It makes sense to coordinate tools that can help activate growth. However, growth may differ between individuals. Some beards react more quickly to the active ingredients. Others may take a little be longer. For example, lifestyle elements like diet also play a role in hair growth.

My goal is to offer a product that makes men feel confident and good about themselves. Nothing is more rewarding to me than seeing a client’s mood and attitude change from the minute they sit in the barber’s chair to the minute I finish the service. I sense their confidence boosting. They feel a whole lot better about themselves.

That is enough to make me fall in love with barbering, every day.

Let’s kill the beard game!

Boys, get your hands on some serum and a roller.

The styling may be in the hands of your barber, but encouraging the growth is all up to you.
